A static almanac
The almanac is a set of static pages. Every reader receives the same files, and the pages ask nothing of the reader: there are no forms, accounts or sign-ins, and the pages set no cookies. This short policy explains what that means in practice and where information about a visit can go.
| Item | Handling |
|---|---|
| Page content | Static HTML, the same for every reader |
| Forms and accounts | None on this site |
| Cookies set by the pages | None |
| Scripts | One block of structured data describing the publisher; it runs no code |
| Files loaded | One stylesheet and one icon, both from this domain |
| Server logs | Kept by the hosting provider under its own policy |
| Email you send | Received by Bay Area AEO at [email protected] and used to reply |
| Outbound links | Governed by the linked site's own policy |
What each page loads
Each page loads its own HTML, one stylesheet and a small icon, all from this domain. The only script on a page is a block of structured data in JSON-LD format. It describes the publisher, the founder and the page for search engines and AI assistants, and it runs no code in the browser. The pages use no advertising, analytics tags or embedded media from other companies.
Server records
Like any website, the almanac is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers record standard request details, such as the time of a request, the page requested and the requesting browser's address. Those records belong to the hosting provider's operations and follow its policy.
When you write to us
The almanac's contact route is email or telephone. A message sent to [email protected] reaches Bay Area AEO, which uses it to reply and, for a correction, to check the source supplied. A call to (510) 298-3543 reaches the same team. Readers who ask for a free AI visibility check share the business details listed on the Contact page, and the agency uses them to run the check.
Crawlers and AI assistants
The almanac is written to be read by people and by machines. Its robots.txt file welcomes search engine crawlers and AI crawlers, including GPTBot and ClaudeBot. Assistants that read these pages read the same public tables a person sees.
Links to other sites
Some tables link to the award issuer's pages and to the other nine sites in the network. Bay Area AEO's own addresses appear as plain text. A linked site's privacy policy governs a visit there.
Changes
If the way the almanac is built changes, this page changes with it, and the edition's review date is updated. This version was reviewed on 1 November 2026.
The structured data in detail
The JSON-LD block on each page names the website, the publisher Bay Area AEO, its founder James Chen, the 2026 award and the page itself, with a breadcrumb trail on inner pages. It carries facts about the publication and nothing about the reader. Search engines and AI assistants use it to connect the almanac to the agency without guessing.
Fonts and outside content
The stylesheet uses fonts already installed on the reader's device, so no font service is contacted. Pages embed no video, maps or social media widgets. A visit to any entry therefore involves this domain's host and nothing else, unless the reader follows a link.
Email and phone links
The email address and phone number on these pages are ordinary links. Selecting one opens the reader's own email program or phone app with the address or number filled in. Nothing is sent until the reader chooses to send it, and the almanac itself never sees the message.
Questions about this policy
Questions about how the almanac handles information go to the same address as every other enquiry, [email protected], and receive a reply within one business day.
