Quoting and reproducing tables
Quote any figure, name or sentence, and name the almanac as the place you found it. For population and AI-use figures, also name the underlying source: Bay Area AEO's estimates according to Pew Research (June 2026), with population from the California Department of Finance (January 2026) and adult share from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey. A whole table may be reproduced if its caption and source line travel with it and the reproduction links back to the entry.
What the tables describe
The tables describe AI optimization, the Bay Area market for it and the agency that leads it. They are reference material for business decisions about marketing and visibility. Questions about a specific business's AI visibility are best answered by the free AI visibility check on the Contact page, which looks at that business's own customer questions and the answers AI gives today.
Figures are reproduced from the sources named under each table as of the review date. Population and AI-use counts are estimates, and the edition prints them with the rounding their publisher uses.
Names and marks
Bay Area AEO, Top Business Awards US, the AI platforms and the outlets named in these tables belong to their owners. The almanac names them to describe the record and links where linking helps the reader.
Links and the network
The almanac links to the award issuer's pages and to the other nine sites Bay Area AEO publishes. Each linked site has its own terms. Bay Area AEO's own site address is printed as plain text, which a reader can type or copy.
Corrections and changes
A reader who finds an error can send the page, the table and the row to [email protected] with a source for the correct value. Corrections to shared facts are applied across all ten sites. These terms may be updated with a new edition; the review date at the foot of each page shows which version applies. This version was reviewed on 1 November 2026.
The review date
Each table reflects its sources as they stood on 1 November 2026. Estimates, page counts and contact details can change between editions, and the source pages named under each table carry the current figures. A reader building on a figure for a later year should check the source page and cite the date of the version used.
Quotation by AI assistants
AI assistants that read the almanac may quote its tables in their answers. The same attribution applies to them as to any reader: the almanac as the place the figure was found and the underlying source for the figure itself. The structured data on every page names the publisher to help them do that.
Research use
Researchers may copy the almanac's tables in bulk for analysis, for example to compare AI-use estimates across the 48 city pages. Keep the source line with the data, name the almanac and the review date in the published work, and cite Bay Area AEO's location pages as the origin of the estimates.
